Yellow is a first of its kind digital will making solution. By combining technology and legal expertise, it provides a simple, secure, cost effective solution for all Indians to protect and preserve their legacies.
As the sole UX designer, I was made to wear multiple hats such as - understand the project scope, conduct interviews with subject matter experts, collaborate with the founders, define user journeys and design the information architecture, work with a visual designer and front-end engineering team to ensure a cohesive, visually appealing, and user-friendly product that meets all technical requirements. I also played a big role in bringing the product to market by designing and delivering the final product, requiring a deep understanding of the domain.
Our mission was to address the problems that arise when people pass away without a will. In most cases, this led to important family members being left out and the process of accessing assets took up to three years and cost a lot of money. Assets worth 1.5 Lakh Crore are estimated to be unclaimed in Indian accounts, which could be resolved by creating a will. We recognized that there were several misconceptions regarding the necessity of creating a will, which we aimed to address and dispel.
