Over the past year and a half, I've been leading Magnifi's product design efforts. During this time, significant enhancements to the platform were made, prioritizing user experience. Notably, I led the design efforts of the introduction of an AI-driven chatbot that offers personalized investment assistance, which was conceptualized prior to Chat GPT's emergence but operates similarly.

Recognizing the need for improvement, we undertook an essential upgrade from our previous graphics approach, which solely focused on visually representing graphs and charts better. The goal was to create a more intuitive and digestible experience for our users.

Remarkable improvements in engagement metrics and heightened interaction levels across the majority of charts. To gain valuable insights into user engagement, we utilized our internal tracking tool, employing heat maps and live recordings to precisely observe how users interacted with the charts. Notably, we observed a significant increase in the amount of time users spent on charts that required their interaction and customization according to their specific needs.

Based on findings from remote research testing, it became evident that many users faced challenges in framing their searches and initiating the process. Typically, searches were brief and highly specific, while our advanced algorithm enabled more sophisticated searches and the inclusion of conditional inputs. The objective behind this initiative was to ensure that the search and discovery experience became effortlessly accessible for users, empowering them to explore investment opportunities with ease.

The platform experienced a significant surge in the volume of searches, particularly due to the successful implementation of suggested searches and prompts displayed upfront, encouraging users to formulate their own queries. The impact of this enhancement was remarkable, with search numbers soaring by an impressive 113% within just one month.
